It's a progressive reoccurrence. Once my shingles rash had stopped my doctor recommended the vaccine for shingles. It has lessoned the severity and recurrance of breakouts. Ask your doctor about the new vaccine for shingles.

Although most physicians are unaware of this, some of us on this forum have had recurrent Herpes Zoster-Shingles every 2-1/2 to 3 weeks at its worse to every month for twenty to thirty or forty years. This is not Herpes Simplex, but documented Shingles.
Individuals find that eating a high Lysine low Arginine diet helps.
Also, get your Vitamin D level checked, as Vitamin D is essential for your immunity.
My level was 14, very low, and since I started Vitamin D3 supplements, the frequency and severity of episodes had decreased.
I believe we have communicated before, haven't we?
