Shingles again!

I would appreciate some advise please. I had my first outbreak of shingles in 2013 after a car accident that left nerve damage on my left foot. The shingles formed on exactly the same spot as where the steel had penetrated my foot. Since then, I have had an outbreak every 6 months or so. Except, for the last two years there was nothing. I was so incredibly grateful as I believed that was it. Until last Thursday, when I had an intense heat and burning sensation on my foot. I knew even before there was a blister, the shingles were returning. I immediately placed a blister patch over the area, and by the next morning there were two blisters under the patch. It seems that thankfully the patch has contained the rash that it hasnt spread or become so inflamed as previous occassions that I had shingles. I have a question though, for two years there was nothing. And now, a week after being in contact with my friends' daughter who had chicken pox, i get shingles again. Did her chicken pox trigger my latest outbreak? I spent an entire day with her. Apart from shingles i am very healthy, ive had the whole schpiel of tests to make sure that its nothing else and that my immune system etc isnt suppressed. I am a healthy 34 year old. Will this forever be my cross to bear? I hate it. I felt intense depression when it returned. It makes me feel like i cant cope with this for the rest of my life. Im normally a very happy and relaxed person, not depressive or easily upset. I dont even want to see a doctor as they always say shingles doesnt return and that a person only ever gets it once. Ive learnt to deal with the symptoms and try to live a healthy life with healthy food choices and moderate excercise.

I hear your pleas for help and sympathize with you. It's never pleasant coping with a life long health issue! What are the blister patches called? Not heard of them.
I was given the shingles vaccination after I broke out it has helped lesson the repetition and duration of out breaks. There is a new vaccine out in the US approved recently to be a better vaccination for shingles ( not a live vaccination), and I will update my vaccination soon when available.
