    Joe,

See my other post. Your body is stressed out to the max right now! This is a wake-up call! The pain is telling you to rest. Obey your body. The exercise stimulates the virus. Your body needs to rest and sleep to recover. The varicella zoster virus replicates and circulates throughout your entire body. People who try to power through the zoster often get recurrent Herpes Zoster-Shingles, and PHN or a longer duration of the disease. This is a wicked disease. You are also at a higher risk for a stroke this first year, especially as you had it in your head. Think it wont happen to you?

It happened to me, twice!!!! two ischemic strokes, one right hemiplegia, one left hemiplegia, both with aphasia and tunnel vision.

I am a former ICU/PACU nurse and was a single mother when this happened to me. Of course, none of this was known, 24 years ago. Many others agree with me regarding rest and sleep.

I wish you the best, Joe.

    Merry Juliana

I have had shingles for four weeks now on the face and head ok i am 72 but have never felt so tired and sleeping a lot obviously my body telling me to rest. I would not try to do exercise as you will probably feel a lot worse the next day as i do if i push myself hopefully this will not last forever.
