    Hi Myrna,

l know what madness and horror you are going through.

i have had the scalp shingles the worst since 2012.

    only we understand.

it will go away but then it will come back.

    i use ice packs.also opo

ehrn it is bad I go for The opoidd to get relief.

try the ice packs they help.

there are some homeopathic gels out there like magnilife that will give some relief

    these are expensive though

      Hello Lisa

Well I am not alone then!  I am so confused because my mom and sister got shingles three years ago and it was like under the breast towards the side of the torso and that was it!  They never got it again!  But in February I got some blisters on my scalp and thought they were mosquitoes bites and went to my doctor!  Right away she said,  Myrna those are not mosquito bites!  You have shingles and right away in the 72 hours required she gave me Zovirax an anti viral for 7 days!  After a week the blisters healed and I was better till the itching started!  After almost 3 months I had like pain and sensitive to the touch a a small blister appeared after 3 months!  I couldn’t believe it was happening!  Not as bad as the first time but it’s terrible to go through this again!  I have heard people here say they get abouts every 3-5 months and have it for years!!  I am so confused and hardy go out into the sun!  I wash my hair every other day for relief with cold water!  Will go to my doctor again and tell her all this!

How many times do you get bouts and how long do they last?  Do you wash your hair everyday too?

      Thanks for your help!
