shingles - other symptoms

I have a patch of shingles on my back, over my left hip. I am on a course of antibiotics but have also noticed a small lump on the left hand side of my pubic area...could this be related?

    Hi, Jenny ~ I have never heard of lumps associated with shingles.  The lump seems to be in a  different area from the shingles event so probably has another reason/source.  This might be worth a trip to the doctor to clarify ~ you wouldn't want to let any "lump" remain for very long without a professional opinion.  Good luck ~ Susan

    yes this could br related to the lump because the lump could be and infection. it could have set it off.

    With shingles anything is possible Jenny. Mine alway's comes on my left thigh but then a couple of times it has also been on my buttocks at the same time. I was also told that antibiotics will not do any good? But who know's really? I cannot take the anti-viral meds as it makes me sick, so I take lysine and watch what I eat. Good luck and I hope it clear's up soon for you.
