Shingles rash aftermath and sensation in chest

I'm a 49 yo male. For the last 4-5 weeks I've had shingles and I would say for the last 5 days I've been managing without taking any painkillers. I had the rash on my shoulder and a little on my chest. The rash has practically gone but I'm left with a weird sensation/pain in my chest which could easily be mistaken for a cold/flu infection. I know its not but it feels like it. It almost feels like a chill. I'm pretty sure its just the nerves in the area kicking off.

I guess I'm just curious if anyone has experienced this as well. Preceding my shingles outbreak I had a mild UTI, and a minor chest infection previous to that. I'm pretty convinced this was all tied up with the shingles kicking off.

Would be interested in other people's feedback smile

Thank you for replying folks. It feels really weird. Its a sensation I've felt many times (chest area) in the past and have always thought it was a mild chest infection since it was always preceded by a cold.

But now I'm beginning to wonder if I've actually been suffering from shingles but without the pain or full blown rash. Hope it goes soon.

hi mine is mild recurring on left butt cheek but the one episode of neuralgia gave me restless left leg and fiorecet helped (not the neurontin prescribed by gp)....what helps me is lysine, sublingual B12 and mushroom complex..remedies i searched and searched for but cannot find the original forum where the guy gave me this invaluable info....if i forget to take and rash returns..i take the vitamins and it goes away immediately!
