I had shingles in 2015 and have had itching a? lot since then unless I use a muscle gel that has capsaicin and essential oils. I have been feeling extremely tired and yesterday I woke up with a cold sore on my lip. I am also having burning and itching where my shingles were. Does anyone think this could be a recurrence?

could be, if you can take antivirals wouldn't hurt to get on ASAP. the itching and burning could be PHN but the tiredness and cold sore indicates otherwise. One time my Dr gave me antiviral for cold sores. Haven't had in long time so maybe it helped. My wife has had shingles 3 times with lingering symptoms but the antivirals make her horribly sick!!
