Shingles switching sides

I had shingles diagnosed nearly four weeks ago with a rash on my right forehead. After I was prescribed Aciclovir a second rash appeared above my eyebrow. The whole right side of my forehead was swollen as was the area around my cheekbone. The scabs from the blisters have now gone, though the second rash did not develop into blisters. I'm still exhausted and brain foggy but today the same areas on the left side of my face feel odd. has anyone else experienced this? Wondering if its just mixed up signals in the nervous system but monitoring closely for any rashes on that side in case I have to go back on anti virals.

I had the herpes-zoster virus go from one foot to the other foot, across ever toe and around to the ankles. It was an extreme of any kind of virus doctors have seen, and still makes zero sense to anyone in the health care profession.

So the fact that you are questioning the "normal" trend of shingles is absolutely legitimate. I have been on the antivirals for over 3 months because of that unknown, hypersensitivity, and fear.

I dont have the best advice for you but it never hurts your body to stay on a steady dose of valacyclovir for as long as you feel any abnormal sensations (some people take is every day of the year) Those sensations cause anxiety! So staying ahead of the game with antivirals helps
