Second shot yesterday. My first vaccine I had left arm pain for a day, not this time. Chills, nausea, dizzy, aching, felt like I was burning up but, no fever. Any meds I can take for this?

Hi friend. Sorry its got you feeling this way. Some have described flu-like symptoms following one or both vaccines but it should pass within 72 hours and most find relief with OTC meds like Tylenol or Ibuprofen. However, if it does persist after the 72 hours or if you begin to have nerve pain that resembles shingles, follow up ASAP with your physician and have them put you on anti-viral meds to be safe. On the off chance that you are developing a case of shingles, better safe than sorry. If this is side effects from the vaccine, best NOT to power through these first 2-3 days, as you will just aggravate your system. Call in sick and take it easy couple days. Hope you feel better, friend

Can't blame you for that friend and with shingles, it's so unpredictable, i and most who have had shingles would have reacted the same. My side effects didn't show up for 3 days the first dose and on my 5th day after my second dose. It's a strong vaccine so best to watch for symptoms and take it seriously, so your concern was certainly justifiable. Glad you are feeling better now. You take care, friend
