Shiny patch of skin on glans, skin also red on shaft on the same side

I was hoping this would go away on its own, but I'm getting more concerned. It's a little hard to tell, but on the right side of my glans, its slightly red and smooth. On the shaft, the skin looks a little bumpy but doesn't really feel that way. I've had unprotected sex once in the past, and it was maybe 6-7 years ago. This has never shown up before, but I have no idea what it could be. It doesn't hurt, there havent been any pus filled bumps, and it doesn't itch. Any thoughts? image

Is it normal for it to be noticeably more red than the other side? It's been like this for maybe a month

Alex, as Daryl is getting at what you have looks most like natural development.

The skin at the top of your shaft seems to have a really unusual look to it, but certainly, this still looks the way it just happens to have developed naturally. There may be a mix of Fordyce Spots and pearly Papules, again, if this is what they are on the shaft of your penis that would be particularly unusual itself.

In terms of the redness, this is almost certainly some kind of dermatological reaction - think about the things that are in contact with your penile skin, the thing to work towards is having water ONLY is the thing that contacts the skin of your upper-shaft and head area. try to maintain that for 4 to 5 months and see if the redness disappears.

Most common causes are simply things like scented soaps, any shower gel - but simple approach is to exclude everything that does not need to be there = water for cleaning
