Shiny patch on my penis shaft

Posted , 2 users are following.

I've had this shiny patch on my penis shaft for about a week and a half. It looks dry and has these small kind of wrinkles on the edges as if the skin were peeling off (but it doesn't). It doesn't itch or anything at all.

I haven't had sex for about two years and it was always protected. I'm 24.

It's a little hard to catch it on camera but I've done what I could.imageimageimageimageimage

Do you masturbate regularly and if so do you apply anything to your penis, before, during or after?

I would suggest it is most likely an interaction with something that is in regular contact with the skin of the shaft of your penis.

Do you apply and form of skin cream such as a moisturiser?

Have you recently changed ANY of the soap, shower gel, other body wash that you are now using? Check what your clothes are washed in: soap powder, additives, wash treatment gels and blocks, fabric conditioners and suchlike - have these recently changed?

The other possibility is that you have a skin issue, generally - do you have skin problems elsewhere on your body .... ?

I'm fairly sure that I haven't changed any hygiene items recently nor detergents and I don't apply any creams.

As for the skin problems, yeah, I have some issues from time to time, like dry and irritated skin, but I've never had anything similar to this.

Simplified, skin issues have two sources, a pre-disposition in the body, or external sources - you can get an interaction of both.

Fingertips often have quite a high level of sebaceous oils present on them, the hair is another source, both head and pubic.

What you could try for 2 to 3 months is actually washing your hands throughly before masturbation and pay close attention to rubbing the inside of the fingers and fingertips with a clean towel. Then, make sure not to contact any bodily hair.

If this is not something that sorts itself out after putting the washing in practice prior to masturbation it may be worthwhile seeing a Dermatologist
