shooting pains in my lower back

Posted , 3 users are following.

For the last year I have been experiencing shooting pains in my lower back, the pains are short but very sharp and feels like a painful vibration is being sent through my lower back. I get this once or twice a week and I get it when I'm lying in bed, sitting down or standing up, I get it more when I'm not moving and when I'm relaxed. I'm not sure if this is normal for my age but I'm in need of advice, any help??

I had something similar but the shooting pain was in my foot. I had a MRI to my lower back and was diagnosed with modic changes on my L5/L4 vertebrae. On this site there is a discusion going on about the subject. I advise you to read it. Regards, Ana
