Short term - head injury still causing problems

Hi all!

First post 😃

I collapsed 4.5 weeks ago onto concrete and hit my head HARD. I was taken to A&E and given a full work up including a CT which came back clear. However, nobody examined my head. I had inflammation - a big, obvious 'bump' and severe concussion, headache, nausea, the usual.

Fast forward 4.5 weeks and I have a dull ache, tenderness, some inflammation and the odd stabbing pain at the injury site. I have also had 4 nosebleeds in the same time, that I cannot find an explanation for - nothing big, a drip that eased off after 5 mins.

I spoke to my GP today who seemed entirely unconcerned and said it was probably just taking a while to heal and to get back to him if it didn't get better.

I also have type 1 diabetes, albeit well controlled.

Am I being impatient with the healing time, and should I suck it up for another few weeks? Or should I be concerned?

Thanks in advance for your advice.
