Shortness of breath

Hi

I went to a Birthday party last night for a family member and i felt great. No anxiety or anything. Once i got home i was really tired and kept yawning. This then led to breathlessness. I went to bed and every time I fell asleep I would wake up with a jolt like i had stopped breathing. This happened several times. Today i have woke up and still feel like im struggling to breathe (i am breathing normally just feels short) and i am also dizzy.

Does anybody else experience this and how do you get your breathing under control. or could this be something else and not anxiety? my heart rate is currently 55bpm.

any advice is appreciated. thanks

p.s i had no alcohol

The way to get this under control is through proper breathing for anxiety.

get comfortable and take in a breath through your nose for about four seconds and then out through your lips as though you were blowing out a candle for four seconds.

keep repeating this several times. You can also take longer breaths .

if you need more help, you can be guided through this from listening to short breathing sessions on YouTube for anxiety. They really help you to relax and breathe normally. Take care
