Shortness of breath ! & Air Hunger !!!

For the past 2 months I've experienced this new symptom which is dyspnea shortness of breath. I had numerous tests. Xray of the heart and lungs and came out normal. And then I had numerous blood tests & EKG. All normal. I've also seen a cardiologist and he performed a stress test & Echocardiogram. They came out normal. Healthy heart. And last test I had was a Pulmonary Function Test which my doctor says it came out normal. Now I'm running out of answers. I've been having this shortness of breath a little over 2 months its really frustrating and scary. Feeling always the need to take deep breathing and yet I don't feel like my lungs are getting enough oxygen . I could really use some advice here. Doctors think its GAD but I think they may be missing something
I'm 25 years old no asthma problems or anemic.
Meds are
Propranolol 20mg
Celexa 40mg
Albuterol inhaler
Montalukast 10mg
Any advice is greatly appreciated . Thanks!

There's someone who has written quite a bit about similar symptoms and how he got through it all. I've had the same issues myself. There are other people discussing these same symptoms on his blog. Google this: Air Hunger Simon Spire

I have been suffering with what I now know as 'air hunger' since I was 15, I am now 40. It's been a sporadic issue that comes and goes but has, since the age of 15, always returned. I've been to my GP and like many other have had ECGs, echo test, spirometry test, chest x-rays and probably a few other tests I've forgotten all to be told there was nothing wrong, in fact at 15 i was diagnosed with Athsma. I have never googled these symptoms, for fear of being told I have heart disease or similar, until today as the last few days I've felt very tight chested and starved of a satisfying breath. I'm so glad I did! Everytime I used to try and explain the symtoms to my GP I felt like he either didn't believe me, didn't understand or I had symptoms he had never heard before but now it seems like I'm not alone. Trying to explain the feeling of not being able to get a satisfying breath or feeling like something was restricting my lung capacity while not exactly being short of breath or breathless or wheezing or it restricting me exercising seemed alien. Even just finding this blog seems to have eased the sensation.
After reading a few things this morning it makes sense that it stems from stress or anxiety although I wouldn't describe myself as either I definitely have things going on in my life that would make me anxious even if I don't feel it.
I really look forward to researching this more and hopefully finding a way to manage or cure air hunger and hopefully everyone else hear does too.
