Shortness of breath due to anaemia

I was diagnosed with Anaemia a couple months ago. As a result of that i was experiencing shortness of breath as my mean symptom. My GP put me on iron supplements and my shortness of breath subsided with in days. I've been on the supplements going on 3 months now , shortness of breath is not as bad as it use to be but I'm still having mild shortness of breath. So my question is how long does it take to see complete recovery from the shortness of breath due to Anaemia?
