For the past couple of weeks I've been having panic attacks I went to the hospital for it got x-rays ecg and blood test it all came back normal so they sent me home. I started to feel better and felt like myself again but suddenly one night I started feeling short of breathe so I went to the gp the next day and he told me it has a lot to do with anxiety. so he gave me some medications to help. its only been about 2 days on the medications they seem to slowly be working, but I'm freaking out still not being able to breathe okay.what should I do???

Do nothing. Literally do nothing. I had this symptom when I had anxiety, but then it passes and you get another symptom like dizziness or nausea and then you obsess over these things, but at the end of the day all of it is just anxiety and time is being wasted focusing on it.

Trust that in time it will pass, thats all you have to do, its that easy.

    take care

i had the same. when my anxiety peaks my muscles around my chest and ribcage feel like they are tight. I feel like I cant get enough air.

i do breathing tecniques and really works. sit in a solid chair with your feet flat. breath in through the nose for 4 seconds and out through the mouth for 8 seconds. it gets rid of all that bad air thats built up in the lungs due to shallow breathing.

look up tapping tecniques on you tube, this works for me too

four weeks ago started an onslaught of never before seen symptoms for me: dizzy, chest heaviness constantly, rapid heart rate, panic, shaky, fatigued, crying, panic. overall feeling like someone is pushing on my chest. 2 e.r. visits, extensive bloodwork, talking to several docs and psychiatrists, overall diagnosis "severe anxiety and panic disorder". Came out of nowhere and hasnt left. finally broke down and started Plaxil 2 days ago. I'm seeing TONS of this happens and isn't talked about. Everyone has it differently and nothing works immediately. Just know you're not alone.
