Should I be Worried About my Heart Rate ?

Hi,

I am a 35/36 year old Male, slightly overweight (BMI is about 26). My dad died aged 61 of a heart attack, and my excess weight seems to be mainly located in my stomach area, so I am quite worried about heart disease.

I got myself a fitbit recently to measure my heart rate, steps walked and sleep every day. I changed from doing an office to job to something more active reading gas & electric meters about a year ago which so I walk on average about 13 KM every day on a weekday and much less at the weekend according to my fitbit.

Occasionally (because it scares me and drains the battery) I have turned on the heart rate monitor. I have collected a few samples of what my heart rate looks like over different days, please see attached pictures.

Should I be worried about anything shown in these graphs?

Resting working heart rate 70'ish, and after moderate exercise 140'ish, it's perfectly normal, so in one word, no smile

If you really want to avoid heart disease by all means just keep doing what your doing to be honest. Staying active is a major key along with diet and making sure you get those checkups as you get older since you are at risk for heart disease based on your genetics. Remember to never do too much exercise nothing in excess as that also can strain the heart in a bad way, make sure you get good rest everyday and watching your diet is also a big factor so as long as you eat healthy you wont have to worry about heart disease.
