Should I be worried if the bad side affects of sertraline

Someone I know had just started sertraline, it being the first form if any medication or help at all. They are having really painful headaches, dizziness and extreme anxiety. I am worried about them and do not know how I should support them as they need help and I am not sure that Sertraline is working for them. what should I do?

these medications take 4 to 6 weeks to really kick in and make a difference in how somebody feels. If your friend is having really severe side effects. He or she should contact their doctor to discuss it. there’s not much more you can do except advise him or her to call their doctor. The doctor is the only one that can advise your friend and make changes to the medication. Hope everything works out well!

friend just started...stay out of it. this is between the friend and their doc.

depression is serious and meds that help can take time to balance out the unbalance and function in the system that can cause depression. it works differently on everyone even though it takes 14-21 days or longer for the medication to become blood level therapeutic level...in the system before it has a functional impact.

see time line tests of antidepressive drugs to become effective.

hi katbro, i am not surprised you are worried! i now refuse any antidepressants as they are all drugs that take a long time to work and mess with your minds.... try a dog, walking, smelling different things, meditation, yoga, a diary and even counselling before any pills. good luck to you!
