Muscle spasms? Do you mean cramps? Or some sort of psychological annoying sensations. I have the latter when I try to go without Zopiclone (I tried last night). Sometimes they're like someone wanting to scrape around inside my toenails with a cocktail stick (somthing I've experienced occasionally since early childhood) and sometimes (like last night) it's just like a nervousness in my legs which is not my restless leg problem but something more psychological.

If you mean cramps (ouch!) you might realize the medication often prescribed for them works on the same receptors (but in a much different place) as does Zopiclone.

No its like cramps but without the pain it is very irritating

Zopiclone is said to have muscle relaxant properties (not strong enough to prevent cramps in my case).

Interesting to know if it's something that's directly related to the Zopiclone, something that's developed while you've taken the Zopiclone and was hidden by it, or whether it's part of the underlying problem for which you've needed the Zopiclone.

D you mind if I ask if you are stopping you Zopiclone under the doctors supervision. 3.75 i s a comparitively small dose, although you have been taking it for some time, I would ask your doctor what his thoughts were on your symptoms.

Hey Joyce I'd ask your doc about swapping to diazepam (possibly 2mg) to wean you off. I was on a horrendous amount (20 a day at worst) and the side effects were horrendous. Still felt bad for the first few days without and miss the taste etc it's been nearly 3 weeks now. Just speak to your gp Joyce they'll know what the professional best thing to do is smile good luck and I hope the spasms stop xx
