Should I get my own ankle brace now that my cast is off?

So Sept 12th, I blacked out and got badly assaulted and my assailants broke my ankle. Arrive at the hospital, I get surgery and have hardware put in. Flash forward to today, its been 6 and a half weeks since it broke and I just got my cast off yesterday(Oct 28th.) My surgeon said I don't require a walking boot or another cast or anything more, since the bone itself is completely healed already. Im just wondering if its a good idea to maybe get my own ankle brace for some extra support while I work on getting my muscles strong and motion range back? If so, which brace would you recommend I get? it was a fibula fracture

When I was at that point the ortho said I could use a brace , ace bandage for support , or nothing ,it was up to me. I wore the brace for many a week or a little more ( I broke all 3 bones) just for a little more security.
