Should I get scanned? Strange migraines.

For almost a year, i have been struggling with migraines at night. I would have trouble sleeping because the migraines I have induce flashing lights and colored vision (mostly green).

However, about 2-3 weeks ago, i noticed a change. I now get a migraine at the top right of my head all day and all night. The pain will be on and off and can get worse when I do any activities looking down. Sometimes the pain may wake me up at around 3-4 AM with pain sometimes running down to the top of my right eye.

I don't know if I should be really concerned... A part of me thinks its serious and another one does not. Seeking advice here, because it's expensive to have it checked out and I would rather have my mom (who has some foot problems) get sorted out first.

Things I should mention: I am a 19 year old Female

Changes that have occured a week later since the start of these new migraines are:

- I got sick with the common cold (new migraine pain/pattern started days before)

- I had gotten my period (also, new migraine pain/pattern started days before and continues now that I'm off my period

Please help me, I'm so confused and nervous! :,(
