Should I go be monitored at the ER?? PLEASE HELP

Hi Everyone,

Ive posted a few times in here, but last night I experienced something I had never experienced before. I was studying and got this pain throughout my chest and back. I had never gotten this before. I stood up to go try to walk it off and in the matter of 10 seconds it turned into the worst pain id felt in my chest and I came the closest ive ever come to passing out. I called the ambulance and they arrived within 20 minutes and did an EKG. They told me the EKG was normal and good but I wasnt feeling the symtpoms when they took the EKG.

BACKGROUND:

Ive been to a few cardiologists and an electrophysiologist and they seem to think I had anxiety, but I have never felt the way I felt last night before. It was a completely new symptom and I almost passed out. PLEASE any advice would help so much. Please someone give me guidance. Should I go to the hospital?

If you really feel in danger then you could go. I went this morning and found out that I dont have a brain tumor (something I was obsessing over) which was nice. I'm a little anxious now still but maybe it will pass. If you feel you should go then go...but it sounds like your heart is fine since youve seen so many doctors already.

it could be related to stress and anxiety but for your peace of mind you can ask your doctor for a 24 hour heart monitor. That way the doctor can read it when you’re done and see what occurred over the last 24 hours. Have you had a complete physical lately? Exam with bloodwork?

any history of heart issues or other health issues in your family?

hang in there and be insistent to receive care if you truly feel ill.

try relaxing your mind such as listening to meditation for anxiety on YouTube., Enjoying nature, soothing music etc. think of what in your life maybe causing you anxiety. It always helps to talk to a counselor .

take time out for yourself to relax!❤

      Hi Jan,

      Since february I have had

      1 echocardiogram

      1 48 hour monitor

      1 30 day monitor

      4 Chest X rays

      blood work

      10 EKGs

I have no history of heart disease in my family mor do I smoke or drink. I jsut keep thinking they missed something because how can anxiety cause something like this.
