Should I go to the doctor?

Hi all my name is Megan I am 17 years old, I also have a disability I have avascular necrosis in both hips and have had it from a young age.

I do admit I have been depressed. Recently I have noticed my moods have changed a lot. One minute I will be ok one minute I'll be happy, one minute I'll be sad one minute I feel angry and annoyed. Some days I am not in a mood at all sometimes I feel like crying and hitting something. I've not told anyone before as I rather keep it to my self but I've noticed that my moods have been weird for the past few weeks now. A few days ago I was so happy but then I was so annoyed and everything. I don't know what to do anymore?. Should I go to the doctors?

One of my oldest sisters has bipolar could that be what's wrong with me?.

Thanks

Megan x

Hi megan.. Im so sorry for all you are going through sweetone..  I would suggest  going to see your GP.  Your symptoms are very much like bipolar OR giving into your current illnes could be the frustrations & anxiety as to be expected.  For reassurance gorgeous girl,  a Doctors visit would be wise..  Hope all goes well xx

Thinking about phoning them this week but the only thing is I really dont know what to say to them. I've always been nervous. I've been feeling like that for a while now. Thank-you so much for the advice appreciate it. Xx

'WOW'!!!  Congratulations megan & a HAPPY BIRTHDAY in advance.  Proud of you also for making that step forward & enthusiasm by dealing with your health concerns.  Bipolar is one of those problems that is still being researched.  There are many people who do have family related illnesses.  However, there are 3 categories of bipolar 1, 2 or 3.  Depending on your symptoms & how it affects you personally, can only be determined by specialty fields dealing with mental health.  Be encouraged to have a little patience as the waiting time between appointments with Dr's, meds & counselors can be stretched through a climbing demand.  Hang in there hun, it will be all worth the wait I promise xxxx
