Should I increase my dosage?

I've been on 50mg Sertraline for 6 weeks. I'm taking it for anxiety and depression. I've seen a slight improvement but I'm not where I want to be and people usually say that by 6 weeks you begin to notice a change but I still have many days where I feel very low or feel anxiety.

My doctor thought it was best for me to stay on 50mg and prescribed me an 8 week supply of Sertraline. But as nothing seems to be happening I'm wondering if I should increase or give it some more time.

Hi, thanks for your advice. My doctor like several others was really reluctant to increase my dose. He was very helpful and spoke to me about lifestyle and hanging out with friends but I tried, meds was the last resort. He said to take two 50mg pills instead of one. Do double up to make 100mg. I was concerned but he said it’s fine. Is it safe to take 2. Will it affect my treatment at all?

I am no expert Kells and can only go off my experience. All I know is I felt loads better when I went to 150mg. I still have my moments and my poo is still not 100% right.

Speak to your doctor and good luck
