Should I see a dr about the texture of my breasts?

Hi there,

I'm not sure if I'm just being silly here, so i thought id post and see if my skin looks abnormal and worth seeing a Dr or if I'm just being paranoid.

I recently lost my aunty to cancer so it is definitely on my mind. I've also had swollen lymph nodes behind my ears and in my neck for 6 weeks which isn't helping. I might just be being silly.

I noticed some red patches and some dimpled / patchy skin. Please let me know what you think

Thanks

The patches on your skin look like stretch marks but the swollen lymph nodes in your neck and behind your ears sound like you are fighting an infection. That may account for the red patches on your breast. As you have had this for 6 weeks I think you should contact your doctor and state exactly what you have said here. If you can email photos as well that would be helpful.

All women get paranoid about breast cancer especially if a family member has had it. Dont worry.

I think you are being silly, it looks normal and fine to me. Its okay for breast skin tissue to be thinner and more light than other parts of the body, generally speaking it looks fine as well. To check for breast cancer, is to look for lumps on the inside of the breast.
