Should I still be feeling pain 2 months after my Operation

Hi I'm Tom 47 I'm a Wheelchair user due to spina bifida. 2 months ago I fell from my chair after hitting a pothole and the hospital x-ray showed I'd broken my femur. That was on July 2nd 2018 it's now August 14th & I'm wondering if anyone could tell me if it's normal to still be in pain after 8 weeks , as I'm a bit worried.

Thanks for your help

Hi, I can't comment on your break exactly, I have a different break, fibula, but I can tell you I'm 19 weeks out and still have pain. At 8 weeks post break, I still needed a narcotic, as my pain was really pretty strong. Hopefully someone with your specific break will respond, but in here reading posts since I was fractured, there seem to be many others who maintain pain for quite a long time. I hope you get feeling better soon.

Hi, Kim23026 thanks for clarifying about most people who are 8 weeks post op are in quite a bit of pain from what you've seen on this site. I'm trying to find someone who has done the same as me and see how they were pain wise to see if my pain is just the "Norm " for this injury and timescale.

      Thanks for your help

Hi, you know I've never seen a femur fracture on here, I hope someone gets back to you! Take care.
