Should we be worried ?

Advise please - hubby had three stents put in three blocked arteries last September, apart from the shock at the time as we had no idea things were that bad things havnt been that bad. Occasionally he has the odd random shooting pain but has been checked and told all working fine. He has drug eluding stents. Last two days he's been feeling dizzy and actually fell over today - also complained of bouts of palpatiations and feeling as if heart ' flipping around '. He flatly refuses to go to A and E to be checked and want to see how things go, I think he needs to be checked but he's scared as when he had his first two stents inserted with angiogram his heart stopped for 47 seconds. Third stent was fine with no problems. I keep telling him I want to ring the hospital but he gets very angry with me and says he will refuse to go to hospital if ambulance arrives. Any ideas of why this is happening ? He was last scanned and had X-rays around six months ago and all was well.

This falling over is a little worrying neutral This advice is going to be lame but here goes cheesygrin He should at least make an appointment to see his GP in order to get a referral back to his Consultant rolleyes I think he'd benefit from a good dousing of Nitrate Spray with - hopefully - Isosorbide Mononitrate long term smile

Thank you yes I agree he should, he says he'll see his doctor but I know him and he's in denial because he's scared. Fear will not help him and I will have to go above his head if this happens again tomorrow and just ring for help. Yes he has the Nitrate Spray and takes it with him everywhere but refuses to use it ! What do you think is happening, do you think there's a problem with the stents ? Something's going on with the dizziness and losing it to the point of falling over , that's not right or normal is it, that shouldn't be happening.

I think he's suffering from coronary artery spasm, the old fool needs to sit down and have a good dose (four to six sprays) of the Nitrates cheesygrin

This actually makes sense - he still has one partially blocked artery that was 60% when last checked so it could be coming from that. He does need to listen to me or more importantly to his body and sort this out. Thank you will update.

Hello again, quick update. Hubby in hospital as collapsed yesterday  - he's had lots of tests ECG came back abnormal, doctor doing more tests to find out which particular type of palpatiations he's having as certain ones can lead to a stroke Apparantly. Tell you more when I find out results.
