Shoulder Arthroscopy - Advice?

Posted , 3 users are following.

I'm getting shoulder arthroscopy next week for some front shoulder pain (had it for 3 months). Pain in the front inner shoulder (near bicep tendon) and some discomfort on the side / back of my shoulder.

The issue is - they don't exactly know what's causing the discomfort in my shoulder, I've had two MRIs that don't reveal anything. Both came back clean.

Has anyone had experience going into shoulder surgery not knowing the outcome / recovery time?

me too. Once they got in there they saw alot on swelling in the lining. can't remember the name of it sy something. I had decomposition surgery done. a whole lot of stuff. I'm 15 weeks out and still having limited mobility and having a hard time. recovery is a long process. lots of physical therapy. ice and not getting much sleep. I'm seeing little improvement daily.

did u do any pt? i would not go in for surgery after trying to fix it another way .

or atleast know what is causing the pain .

surgery should be your last resort in imo.

i had a surgery about a year ago and while it fixed me up for the most part it also created some new issues .
