Shoulder pain post ACDF

Hi I'm post ACDF nearly 6 weeks and my shoulder blades are really sore! Helps a tiny bit with deep heat and paracetamol. Is this normal? I had a single level c5-c6 thanks

    I am over 4 months c4c5c5c6 acdf and my shoulder as well is very painful and arm. Do acupuncture, and lazer on the shoulder as well as exercises to strengthen the area. Go on line for exercise's.

    its not unusual to have all different aches and pains after a major surgery like that. I would let your dr know and if you are going to physical therapy have them address that area as well. Keep up with the heat and ice as well as meds. I would also get a massage once your dr clears you for that type of thing. Good luck.

    When one has any form of procedure, it's a shock to the body some take longer to heal than others. Only time will tell.
