Shoulder Physical Therapy

Posted , 2 users are following.

I had shoulder arthroscopy three weeks ago to fix a labral tear, bone spur, and clean up some bursitis. I go next week for my physical therapy evaluation. What exactly will they do during this? I was told PT wold let me know when I can come out of my sling. I know it will depend on my progress, but does anyone know what a normal time frame might be?

ive had 2 surgeries. the norm is 6 weeks then youre out of the sling. They start with you just shrugging your shoulders, rotating them forward and back n dangling the arm. PT will do passive ROM exercises. Theyll have you stretch a little also. im now 7 weeks and doing a little more exercises on my own. I'm still icing and applying heat.
