Sick Note because I am unable to drive?

Hi

I live in the U.K.  and currently  wearing a boot with partial WB for another 5 weeks.  I have a doctors note until the end of this period. Once I start FWB but still unable to drive, will I still be able to get a doctors note?  I would struggle to get to work without driving?

Any idea?

Yes if you explain that to them

If that is your only means of commute or you tell them you’ll be on feet all day with work.  They will give you leeway, especially in the first few weeks as it does that a while to recover.

Hi im also in the UK. I came out of my boot at the end of November was driving 2 weeks later and just went back to work this week. My GP explained that once the plaster and boot are off it takes time for everything to heal. Good luck

    Hi Tina,

Yes, you will be able to get a note to be out of work. Especially if its your job requires you to be on your feet/ special shoes and so on.

    Good luck!
