I DID A STRAIGHT SWAP FROM 40mg citalopram to 100mg sertraline because i could cope with the dropping. Ask your doctor if its an option.

it sounds like you definitely need some med to help you recover so the sooner you take it the sooner you will feel better x it wont be easy but eventually when you come out the other side it will all be worth it x

no to both of them, definitely not going to die, what will happen is you will get through this, start improving, get better and get your old self/life back. Just like I did when I swapped over

I just went off of Celexa recently, I weaned myself down kind of slowly but in my experience it really wasn't too bad at all! I did stay busy to keep my mind off of it so that helped. I also took magnesium supplements they must have worked also. The only thing I really had was some brain zaps here and there but they didn't bother me too much because I knew what they were and why they were happening. I feel SOO much better then I did, I guess celexa was just not for me. I am suppose to go back on Zoloft here soon and don't worry too much about that either because I've been on that before and the side effects weren't too horrible, and it really really helped me. Just remember, no matter what you're going through right now, or in the next weeks transitioning, it might seem yucky but its temporary! And look at long term, you will feel much much better! 😃
