Sick to sicker

Hi! In March 2017 I was taken by ambulance to the hospital. I had no signs or symptoms. I was diagnosed with pneumonia. Within 24 hours I was put into a drug induced coma for 16 days. The doctors said they had to put me in the coma because I was pulling the tubes they had down my throat out. Anyway , when I was awaken from the coma my left arm was extremely swollen, shiny, in horrible pain and I couldn't lift it without picking it up with my right hand. While in the hospital they put a PIC line in (which I was some what awake for) . Since the PIC line was put in they knew there was a problem. Actually two problems one was I had developed Candida glabrata fungemia. This is in my bloodstream and my right eye. I was discharged from this hospital because I threaten to contact an attorney. So when I say discharged I mean "put out". I could not walk and could do nothing for myself. Within 24 hours I was admitted into another hospital. I was there about a month being pumped full of antibiotics. They were treating my arm with narcotics and didn't know what was wrong with it. Finally, I was discharged from this hospital but only for five days. My Mother had been taken care of me and I was getting worse. So I went back into the same hospital for another month. So I was in the hospital for about three months and seen every kind of doctor and specialist they though I should see. Still no one acknowledged my left arm as having rsd or crps nothing....I complained daily everyday about my left arm. Still nothing. Finally, I was discharged from the hospital and began my own research. I took my information to my PCP and she had never heard of the disease. At this point I'm getting be on hopeless. She did send me to a pain management doctor who finally diagnosed me with crps type1. I am still in horrible pain. I have insomnia, major depression, severe anxiety and I for the first time in my life uninsured. If it wasn't for my church helping me pay for my medicines. I probably would not be here today. So this is the first time I have shared any of this on a website or group. I just found out about it yesterday so I hope I can help somebody or somebody can help me. I don't know what I need. I know I want the pain to stop. Because it is truly driving me insane. If anyone out there has ANY advice please pass it on to me. Thank you in advance for reading this and for any feedback you can give me. God Bless

Hi, Jen.
I will leave you a longer message tomorrow. I just wanted to leave you an answer.
I have found that Benadryl helps my pain. I take Gabapentin and Pristiq. I no longer take Benadryl but I am taking a prescription antihistamine, Hydroxyzine. It helps me with the pain pretty well.
What country do you live in?
I'll get back with you.
I hope you find relief soon. I'm so sorry you are going through CRPS.
God bless.

Hi Struggling,
Just wanted to comment on Benadryl. I don't take Benadryl anymore either. I put 3 or 4 drops of 100% Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade peppermint and lemon essential oil in a small glass of water and drink that instead. I've been using essential oils for all my needs and I'm proof they work. Within 2 to 3 minutes, if that long, I feel better. Gluten free, organic veggies and fruit, no sugar, no dairy, and essential oils for pain, antihistamine, sleep, cleaning, you name it they do work. They've saved my life! It is now my passion to help the world heal with natural healthy chemical free easy to use medicine, no processed foods, acupuncture, even homemade laundry detergent as all this has changed my life of pain! Hope you will check it out. I can give you all kinds of info.
God bless you both!

Hi Brenda,
I was able to send you a private message.
I'm not sure what you have for health issues as you haven't set up a profile.
Hope you're doing well today!

Benadryl works opposite for me. I take lyrica and I like it so far. I live in Memphis, TN. I wrote you a longer message today with personal information and it was deleted. I would rather talk than text. It's just easier. I'm just learning to work this site and don't know how to send a pm yet. Got to go but I will be praying for you. God bless!

I was diagnosed with CRPS about 8 years ago...red/purplish coloration and mostly severe burning sensation and knife like feeling when weight bearing. Went through months of pain management, nerve blocks and was told there was no cure. Then ran across a natural (which I normally don't believe in) treatment to reset the autonomous nervous system between leg and brain...3 months of immobilization, elevation and sensitivity therapy with an anionic polyacrylamide castalternating in 8 hour periods. Had relief after 12 weeks and complete cure after 24 weeks...no recurrence 8 years later. Good luck with yours...I know the frustration of being told there's no cure and then nerve blocks and ketamine treatments and all these treatments that did nothing while your life is on hold.
