I actually got on this site to ask the same question! I started taking duloxetine about 3 months ago and had a similar experience.  I started at 20mg and worked up to 60 over about a month.  It was about 1 month in, when I was taking 60mg, that I really started feeling crappy.  Very shaky, hard to focus vision at times, trouble sleeping.  I was ready to tell the Dr I wanted to stop when the effects wore off.  The negative feelings lasted about 2 weeks for me and then seemed to pass over about 3 or 4 days. It seamed like it really peaked at about 2 weeks (6 weeks into treatment).  Then one day I just stared feeling a bit better, and a few days later I could actually feel the positive effects of the medication kicking in. Since that has passed, I've noticed no negative side effects except an occasional very vivid dream.  I'm actually taking it for anxiety and substance abuse issues (I feel caused in part by the underlying anxiety). I think it's working well for me so I would say definitely tell your Dr about it, but try to ride it out for a few weeks and hopefully you will get through the crummy feeling and start to feel the light at the end of the tunnel. Hang in there.

Did you wean off your former medication.  You might also be experiencing some withdraw from that.

I hope once everything evens out for you you start to feel better.  Having gotten through the bad part, I personally feel it's a great medication.

Thanks Jason that’s made me feel better about taking now . I’ve been taking 45mg of mirtazapine for 10 years now and Dr has put me down to 30mg for 2 weeks . I think I should have maybe started at a lower dose of duloxetine as along with the sickness , I’m feeling quite out of it and shaky . Thanks for your reply
