Sickness during ovulation after ovarian cyst removal

I had an ovarian cyst removed early March through laparoscopy, my recovery was fine. However, I have been experiencing intense pain and nausea during my ovulation periods since then, having to get off work for a couple of days when it starts. Please is this the trend and for how long will this last? Are there any safe remedies for this?

I wouldn't have thought the cyst removal should have caused these problems.  I had a large ovarian cyst and ovary removed 23 years ago and I felt fine after.  I would go back to your doctor cos you can't go on like this sad

Many thanks Janet. I kind of got the idea that it was normal. I had a scan in May but it seemed there were no internal issues causing it. I'll reach the hospital where I was operated (it was an unexpected surgery done while on vacation).

      Thanks again smile

Hey! I had my right ovary removed around 3 weeks ago, totally recovered now but I am having the same symptoms! Like morning sickness and sharp pains in my left side- scan shows left ovary is normal, and I'm def not preg! Plus my boobs are complete agony! Have you had this? Xx

No I haven't had such, the only pains are during ovulation as mentioned.

3 weeks ago, I hope you've been taking things easy. I heard we should relax a bit on even things like driving for a little while after surgery....so the internal organs get to heal also.

Sorry about it. Perhaps someone here would have more info for you.
