Side affects from Lanzaprozole and Gaviscon ??

Hi all
As your probably aware i was diagnosed with LPR (silent reflux a few months back and have been on 2 x 30mg of Lanzaprozole a day and 8 x 5ml (teaspoon) of Gaviscon advance split into 4 x a day. Ive had this for 3 months. The problem i am getting is constant noises and wind in my stomach. Its not normal as it happens all the time. But its is triggered mainly as soon as i eat. I mean literally as soon as i have swallowed food (straight away) . I get bloating and lodged feeling and also sometimes excess wind. Has anyone else had this ??. I used to get stomach grumbles and noises before like everyone but over the last few months they are constant infact i have got them now as we speak.its like a gremlin in my stomach. All the noises lterally come from the stomach itself
Regards Pete

HI JUST SAW YOUR E-MAIL AND STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU ASKE YOUR DOCTOR FOR ENDOSCOPY WHICH YOU CAN HAVE VIA G.P. AND THERE IS NO NEED TO SEE A CONSULTANT AS A SPECIALIST NURSE CARRIES OUT THE TEST AND REPORT IS GIVE TO YOU WHEN YOU LEAVE.
THERE IS NO PAIN WHAT SO EVER AND THATS THE TRUTH JUST A LITTLE DISCOMFORT I TOOK MILD SEDATION AS I DIDNT WANT TO GAG ON LOCAL SPRAY/TEST TOOK 3 MINS DIAGNOSED OFFICIALLY WITH STOMACH POLYPS AND INFLAMMATION.
SHOULD SAY IVE BEEN ON OMEPRAZOLE[LOSEC] 20MGS DAILY FOR MORE YEARS THAN REMEMBER ABOUT 21 AND I REALLY THINK ITS NOT A GOOD IDEA TO BE ON THEM FOR THAT TIME.IT WASNT UNTIL THINGS BECAME SO BAD I WAS SEEN BY A NEW LADY G.P WHO SAID IT WAS NOT NORMAL TO BE TAKING OMEPRAZOLE AND THIS GAVISCON TO GETHER FOR SO LONG AND NOW I AM PLEASED AT THE DIAGNOSIS.
DONT BE PUT OFF ASK.
GOOD LUCK

I was on the same dose of Lansoprazole as you are now - and had to come off it due to pains in my legs. I dread to think how strange your stomach might feel. I'd be going back to doctor and asking for a change of meds and more investigations. Better to know what you are dealing with!

I'd much rather have rumbling stomach and noises but that is not normally associated with LPR or GERD itself in my opinion, but possibly IBS and wheat intolerance.
Or, as 'debra27175' said it could be the medicine although I take it and don't get rumbling immediately after eating.
