hey all.. how long after starting sertraline did any side effects start if at all? and at what mg? and did anyone up there dose and then get side effects?

l started sertraline because l felt so awful so didn't notice side effects because l felt awful anyway. Did 2 weeks on 25mg and then upped to 50mg. Now starting week 12 , not good at the moment but have had some better days. Use this website, it gives reassurance that it takes time.

side effects started for me around day 5 50 mg

This was about 2 decades ago, but my body is extremely sensitive to any sort of meds (I took Vicodin after a gum graft and vomited, and I've heard that a friend really enjoyed Vicodin - painkiller), and when I first took sert (it was by the brand name Zoloft back then with Pfizer being the only maker), I had terrible side effects and I started on 25mg. But because my condition was so severe, I quickly upped every couple of weeks, 50mg then 100mg. But over the years, every time I got back on it, the side effects were a lot easier to deal with, perhaps because there were still residuals in my system or perhaps I was not more familiar with the side effects? Not sure. Hope I answered your question.
