I have been taking BEZAFIBRATE for just over two weeks and today I am experiencing pain in one of my calfs i am petrified that this is something serious; has anyone else experienced this?

Are you taking these along side a statin? I would let your dr know that they are doing this. Do you do alot of walking or exercise, sometimes statins seem to be worse when people do alot of exercise. I was on statins for six months and they made my muscles very painful and I came off them, I cycle alot and the muscles wasted away in the end. They have recovered now though. Side effects of ant lipid lowering drug causes muscle pain, so its a lesser or two evils, statins and lower cholesterol or pain, hopefully the pain may subside once you are used to them.
