Side effects after endoscopy

Posted , 2 users are following.

Hello,

I went for an endoscopy yesterday at about 5/6pm with sedation, throat spray and a strong painkiller. Today I've got a very sore throat and some chest pains, as well as a bit of shortness of breath but I'm not sure if my chest pains are my usual acid reflux chest pains, and if my shortness of breath is down to my asthma as I'm also slightly wheezy.

I rang my doctors but she was quite unhelpful, I'm just wondering if this is something I should be concerned about or getting checked out? As its still less than 24 hours since the procedure maybe I'm being a bit paranoid and need to give it some more time.

Does this sound normal and is there any other symptoms I should be looking out for? I have felt quite sick but haven't actually been sick.

Thank you!
