Side Effects from dose increase

Hi All,

I increased my dosage from 50mg to 100mg 12 days ago. Since then i have been feeling awful with the following side effects:

Drenching night sweats

Headache

Increased Anxiety

Being Sick

Weird fluttering feeling in the muscles behind my knee

Stabbing pain in my groin (like its my lymph nodes but the pain comes and goes)

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how long did it take to subside?

    Hi,

    Yes, the side effects seem normal and should slowly go away soon or at least decrease. I have had that strange groin thing and increased anxiety plus headache of course. I Think increasing from 50 to 100 is a big jump so it takes the body time to adjust again.

      Thanks so much for replying. The reason i increased was because of health anxiety and i was/am convinced i have Lymphoma so the groin/lymph node pain and night sweats are really not helping x

      hi gayle, cannot give you much advice on how long side effects last because I am only on a low dose and did not really have any when I started but can offer this on health anxiety and that is, if there was something really wrong then the pain/symptom would be there all the time. whenever I get chest pains and think I am having a heart attack, I take a paracetamol and if it goes away (which it always invariable does), then sensible head kicks in and I know it is just my anxiety. so try, as hard as I know it is sometimes, to tell yourself this is just a side effect nothing to worry about and then if it eases even just a little you know it is

    I had all what you had and more, the night sweats were crazy, I woke up drenched, that flies eventually subside, I think you should feel confined that people who are now doing well went through what you are going through, it's a good sign the meds are working I started to get good patches at around 4 weeks 6 weeks I was even better.

    In the first six weeks I felt that each side effect would go and a new one would appear, but it was all tiny steps to recovery.

    Don't forget these AD are altering brain chemistry, so it will make the brain do all kinds of things , then it starts to settle and u become well xx

    hey, hang on in there. i was on 50mg for a year and then upped to 100mg. Six weeks into that and side effects are gone and I am now feeling the benefits. It was rough but worth it.

    Ive had the night sweats since starting on 50mg and theyve not gone away unfortunately but im just glad that all the other horrible side effects have now gone x
