Side effects - help!!!

Posted , 7 users are following.

I am two weeks in and feel awful! I’ve been on 125 mg for 4 days and the nausea! The anxiety! I don’t know what to do, when or if it’ll subside.

PLEASE if you have stories if your own where you’ve had side effects and pulled through please let me hear them.

Thanks so much in advance!

    Hi Monna,

I have been on Zoloft for four weeks, although I take 50. I have had anxiety through the roof, thought I was dying. Headaches occurred about 2 weeks in and also being really tired especially after a huge panic attack. But I must say that I can now sleep like a baby. In mornings I do have the shakes. My doc gave me a script for ativan to take when really bad. Hang in there, and I hope this helped some.

Me I literally thought I was going crazy going to die you name it I felt it! But honestly they go but my doctor eases people into them so for instance 50mg for 4 week to see if that dose is right if not 100mg for 4 week so on until the right dose because they don't start to actually work until 4 week that's why a lot of people seem to just stop because they are not working when really no one is giving them a chance to if that makes sense my doctor explained it better. Hope your feeling better soon maybe a good idea to mention to your doctor good luck x

Yes! I had extreme anxiety and nausea the first two weeks and that was only starting at 50mg. Was going to stop taking but found this group and saw others said they had the same sides. So I stayed low, avoided anything that would intensify the anxiety and into the 3rd week it lifted. Hang in there, it gets better!

Maybe you've increased to 125 too fast? i started at 25mg and increased by 25mg every 2 weeks, I had reacted poorly to an ssri before, dr said zoloft is milder.

(btw, strangely i couldn't tolerate the 100mg capsules--completely messed me up, talked to my dr and we tried 4 25mg capsules instead, is working great, something for you consider)
