side effects...mornings

Hi, I am on day 13 of 50 mg and although I do feel slightly less spaced out and drowsy I am finding I am so down and anxious in the mornings, almost pannicky and dread getting up and facing the day,I usually feel better by mid afternoon. I have been taking it about 10pm before I sleep.....but spend hours trying to as my mind races. Also my tummy is still upset from it. Suggestions please......😞

    Fairly typical side effects

I always found mornings worse too

Once u r up to dose the pill is just a top up so when u take it less critical I think

Hi Kataly. I've been told side effect should wear off after about 2 weeks. If your tummy is being effected then perhaps try taking it with your evening meal and a little early than 10pm. Liz

    Hello kataley

I too started taking it at night before going to sleep, and all I wanted to do was eat and sleep.

I had nausea for about two weeks, I was drowsy most of the time and my appetite grew a lot.

After a couple of months i tried taking it in the morning or after waking up and it improved my drowsiness.

I would suggest to try different times to take them

    Hi kataly,

I started on Sertraline 50mg last October and now I'm on 100mg. I tend to take mine in the morning b4 I go to work. I sleep like a log at night.

Try swapping it around. I take mine about 7 in the morning and it works for me. When I was on Catilapram, I took it just b4 I went to bed and it kept me awake all night. Hope everything works out for you! smile
