Can you inform me as to the diagnosis that you have received?

I was told that I am to have CT scan, 11tgh February but given these meds for the giddiness etc.

Until they figure out what you have, they should give you alternate medication for your symptons (and there are plenty of options) with fewer side effects.  What you are taking is not for you.

What do you think I should be taking ? Can Stress cause my symptoms and why does it only seem to happen in the night?

What you should be taking depends heavily on your diagnosis and other health issues that you may have.  Unfortunately we will have to wait for the CT on the 11th February and the resulting follow-up with your physicians.  Did you tell your doctors that you are having bad side effects with your medication (at least over the phone)?  They can probably give you an alternative.

I haven't told him, I think I will try and wait until the CT. I was given Valium 5 mg for anxiety since m yhusband's diagnosis and family stuff and I took half a tablet last night on the advice of another sufferer and I didn't have an attack. I am under a great deal of stress so my symptoms could just be that. Thank you so much for replying

Good on you! When i called the consultant who put me on them, he actually said to,stop taking them, so I knew it was ok to. Be interesting to see how you feel, over next few days, let us know ok. (I always read the side effects in the packaging too now, you'd be amazed!)

I am hoping that not taking them won't affect me but I know I can't go through another day like today. I am awaiting a CT scan to find out why I have the giddy turns so that migh thelp.I am feeling a bit better this evening so hopefully the affects will wear off now. Thanks again for commenting x

I doubt stopping them will affect you, except in a positive way!  The CT scan may help. They usually do them,,or MRI to rule, things out as opposed as a diagnostic tool. The best way for diagnosis, unless there  is something obvious on the scan is by analysing your symptoms and the testing they do. Have you had  any testing and examinations by a consultant?
