Side effects of weekly vinesection

Posted , 3 users are following.

I’ve just started weekly VX and feeling very faint for 2-3 days after. Is this normal? I do have low BP but just wondering what other people’s experiences are.

Cheers

It takes the body time to cope with venesections after all they are not normal. Best practice is drink two or three pints of water before and more after. Have a good solid feed before and some treat after try and walk briskly to the treatment room and be warm, layers work for me. These things make blood dlow quicker and recovery too. X good luck.

I'm 41 and have been going to the vampires since 2001.  I still get weak 2-3 days after.  I hate fast food, however, a phlebotomist told me years ago while doing weekly drains to eat a sandwich and fries and a Coca Cola right before the vampires suck your blood.  The sugar and carbs help, from day after I never fainted or got sweaty.  I understand it's not the most healthy- but it surely works for me.  For every 2 big glasses of water, I drink a sugar free Gatorade or electrolytes drink the day before and after.  I found that since the vampires started draining my blood, I get dehydrated very easy, even to this day. I'm a firefighter and I really try to stay on top of my hydration.  This is what I do... maybe it will work for ya!
