Side effects worse on 25 mg or when upping to 50 mg?

Hey guys, I wanted to know in your experience if your side effects were worse during the time you were on 25 mg as a starting dose or when you upped to 50 mg. I'm on day 11 of 25 mg and I was supposed to up to 50 mg by day 8 but the first 7 days were so much hell with my increased panic, anxiety, diarrhea, nausea, loss of appetite, weight loss, depression, insomnia, and tiredness that I was too scared to go through it all again so soon.

Now I'm feeling a lot better and I'm wondering if there is any way 25 mg is enough for me, or if maybe the side effects from upping to 50 mg will be a little tamer. I just want to hear about your experiences.

I took 25mg for 14 days before increasing to 50mg.

The first 7 or so days were rough but i started to notice a positive difference around day 10.

When i started 50mg it wasnt too bad but has recently took a turn for the worst. Its really hit or miss, just make sure you take your dose at the same time everyday. I missed a dose on saturday and have been suffering ever since.

I believe it’s because you just started just follow what your doctor says I believe he wouldn’t put you up on a higher dose of you didn’t need them but that’s totally up to you

Target dose of sertraline is 150-200mg. I've learned from others and experience that there will be ups and downs, but if you feel up for a while then go down that it is an indication that you need an increase. 25mg is a starting point. With each increase the side effects have lessened for me.
