I got the diagnosis for IBS yesterday and I thought I would ask here if someone has this too, I did a gastroscopy and there were small signs of chronic gastritis. My doctor didn't comment on them, he only said that my problems were caused by IBS. Do the signs of chronic gastritis really point to IBS?

I would ask your doctor about this. IBS can start for all sorts of reasons and it is possible to have both gastritis and IBS at the same time.

gastritis and IBS are two different things. a gastroscopy will show gastritis but not IBS, and IBS does not cause gastritis. It is caused by excess stomach acid

I had chronic gastritis and it was caused by h.pylori infection. Ask for a stool test to check for this

i was told by two gastros that gastritis and splenic flexure are linked to ibs. some people get them and some people dont
