Silent migraine

I have been suffering from silent migraines for most if my adult life. To say they are debilitating is an understatement, but the last 3or4 years the after math of these have been getting worse . when I have a bad attack which usually consists of 5 attacks a day my vision over the next few days is worse. Its like the auras are scarring my eyes. I know that probably sounds silly but thats what it seems like. Its really hard to explain but its like a cant focus on things properly especially when its bright. I will look at something like a book or the tv and its like ive still got the aura there. Its really strange does anyone else get this ?

First of all sunshinedebi have you been to see your GP about your symptoms? If not I think you should. There's prescription only medication that will help.

I used to get these type of migraines and was prescribed Naratriptan which worked really well. There are different tablets in the same category which are just as good. It's finding the one the suits you.

Thank you . Does the medication stop you getting the auras .?

Yes it does thankfully. If I started to get an aura I'd take a tablet and in 2 hours (at the most) I was fine again. Initially when I started taking them they'd make me feel a bit drowsy but it wore off and now I am used to them I'm ok. Definitely worth a try
