Silicon for bones? Drink beer? Anyone heard this before?

Just read about this and thought there is so much we do not know and how interesting it is. Drinking a glass of beer a day could help our bones because of the silicon in it. Not to be confused with silicone which is a type of plastic though!
Exercise is now being touted as well as building bone.
Unfortunately, I hate beer and do not do enough exercise.
I do have calcium, magnesium, vitamin D3, vitamin K2, so what other natural things can we do? Obviously, the list is growing!

What else could you do? I think eating more fermented foods is a good idea. If you are not accustomed to them it's a good idea to introduce them slowly so that the digestive system can adjust. These include the ubiquitous yoghurt, of course, but also kefir, miso, many kinds of fermented vegetables like sauerkraut, kimchi, curtido, etc.

I am trialling not having porridge every morning after having it religiously for years.
I think the fermented stuff might be out as well.
I have Crohns too so my choices are limited. I balance this with diabetes.
You would think I would have popped the AA without a second thought but I did pause which was odd for me when I need so many other medicines.
Avocados are in, however, although a bit dear at the moment in Australis.
Let us keep on researching and fighting the good fight.

Another trick my husband taught me is to open your mouth and throat when you sneeze. I do this all the time now after my back hurt when I sneezed and I suspect that is when my bulging discs happened.

I take magnesium too and find that it has stopped the night cramps.
