Silly Question Please

Morning all,
I went for an overnight sleep study at the beginning of the month and the letter from the hospital said a consultation about it could take upto two weeks - fair enough.
Two and a half weeks later I called the hospital because I hadn't heard anything and she said they are only consulting on sleep studys conducted in May!!!!
I was a bit annoyed because if I do have aponea I was hoping I would be able to mention this at my f2f on Monday.
Anyway, I have just noticed that my discharge sheet says Diagnosis: OSAHS - Now for the silly question Does this mean that I do have an aponea - I know what diagnosis means, but I don't want to tell the assessor I have it if it doesn't mean the same on that sheet.
Does that make sense?
Thanks guys x

I'm obviously not a medico and don't have any extensive knowledge on the matter, but in my personal opinion, that written diagnosis should be sufficient to present at your F2F as a further debilitating condition to be taken into consideration. The fact that you have been referred for a further consultation, even if that is delayed beyond what they originally said, can also be mentioned to add weight. Whilst none of us want to be diagnosed with any further or more serious on a personal basis, we all know from experience that every little thing needs to be 'bigged up' when it comes to getting fair treatment and entitlements. No use being modest in these cases, remember - 'the squeaky hinge gets oiled', ie shout loud and hard about how much you are afflicted and affected and use every bit of ammunition you can. Good luck hon. xx

I thought it did mean that but my mind is so confused lately that I kind of talked myself out of it - plus the support worker who was coming with me has just pulled out due to staff sicknesses so my support and ride for Monday has gone - so the old overthinking everything kicked in and I think I convinced myself that everything will now start going wrong Aaaaaarrrrggghhh.
But after I started this thread my daughter called to chat and said that she could come with me on Monday as she is off next week (which I totally forgot) and then seeing your message has chirped me up even more lol, Yyyaaaaaaaayyyyyyy
Anyway, thanks again and for the good luck. Have a good (although wet) afternoon x

You must let me know what Marrakech is like, have wanted to go there.
Sorry to hear your garden is now a lido, it's been very miserable today hasn't it?
I was going to say don't worry about the milestone as you're only as old as you feel - but then I remembered............ I feel about (and move like) I'm 100 years old lately, but yes free prescriptions lol
Have a wonderful time (again, in case I forget to mention it lol)
Gentle birthday hugs xx

I was a manager of a department (NHS) and had to cover for staff sickness, but no one did my job. I was expected to do both jobs.
So really the social worker should still have been able to attend with Erykah and someone else taken on that portion of her workload.
Sorry ranting again.
Take care

I don't need to do much to feel wrecked lately and my mind is a big bowl of mash at the moment, but I have every thing I need to say/tell them all written down, let' just hope I remember I have it.
Daughter has just made me a cuppa so feet up watching the athletics (Jealous of their energy much) and then down for a nap.
